Lee Calver

Head Chef and Owner

After spending 7 years in The Royal Navy and attaining the position of Leading Chef, Lee returned to dry land to pursue his passion for cooking. 

​

Moving to the Cotswolds, Lee was presented with a fantastic opportunity to work at the prestigious Greenway Boutique  Hotel & Spa serving 3 AA Rosette food. 

​

Later, returning to his hometown, Lee then began working at The Greedy Goose as a Junior Sous Chef and soon earnt a promotion to Sous, then Head Chef, maintaining the restaurants 2 AA Rosettes as well as placing second in the 'Best Fine Dining Restaurant in Devon' award in 2019.

Having gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, Lee decided to spread his wings and once and for all, open his own restaurant, The Croft.
